Mr. Mountanos has had extensive experience in representing school districts in the field of public sector labor and education law. Mr. Mountanos joined our Firm after graduating from Hofstra University School of Law. While at Hofstra, he was a member of the Hofstra Labor Law Journal. He has represented our school district clients in litigation in state and federal courts, in matters before the Commissioner of Education, Public Employment Relations Board, New York State Division of Human Rights, and in teacher disciplinary proceedings and Civil Service Law Section 75 hearings. Mr. Mountanos represents many of our clients, primarily in Westchester County, in collective negotiations involving administrative, teacher and non-instructional bargaining units, as well as related arbitration proceedings. He has been a frequent speaker on labor, employment and school law matters at various seminars and workshops in the State of New York. Mr. Mountanos is a member of the American, New York State, Suffolk County and Westchester County Bar Associations.
